Our most important people at Angel Wings

You might think I will tell you how I've met a president or somebody very important, and actually I have met a few. But this post is not about them.

Believe it or not, there are people that are much more important then presidents and mayors.

They are those who will be future presidents, judges, doctors, teachers, fathers and mothers. They will be forming future society equipping new generations to come.

They are CHILDREN.

When I think about them my heart gives me an extra beat. Boys and girls between 9 and 14. They are not small anymore, but also not quite ready to be a part of any youthgroup just yet.

Such a sencitive age, where they meet real challenges, real evil, have to make REAL CHOICES.

Some of them are refugees from Ukraine and some are from Sweden. Such a beautiful mix. Such a beautiful friendship.

At our regular meetings we spend time together, speaking about meaningful things, doing creative assignments, playing instruments, baking pizza, playing table tennis and so much more.

If you know my story, you probably know I was an orphan and my life changed forever because of people who cared and showed this care to me. They showed me such mercy and taught me the power of love and care for a child. Even if this child is not yours.

Our group is expanding and now we have more then doubled.

Sometimes I wondered if what we ido mattered and if anyone would come to the meeting but now I see that we are in desperate need to expand.

I guess these kiddos do feel important and loved.
